Beginning at the mouth of Brays, the channel has been widened 18 miles west to Fondren Road. An additional six miles of the channel was widened and deepened, beginning downstream of Old Westheimer Road (renamed West Houston Center Blvd) and continuing upstream to Highway 6. Where there wasn’t right of way to slope the widened channel or along bridges retaining walls were used. A signature railing was designed for this project to go on top of each of these walls. We fabricated many thousands of feet over the span of 15 years or so for this project.
